Baronage Farm, 311 Black Stallion Road, Townsend, DE 19734
Site Fee: Between $5 and $7
Come one come all, to Celtic Fire 8. The site is a new one, so expect the unexpected. Baronage Farms is a family farm just up the road from Blackbird State Forest, and we mean just up the road 2 miles from the entrance of the forest. This central site should draw Marklanders from every corner of the known world. So why not just hold the event at Blackbird you ask? No poison ivy. As this is someone’s home, they take great measures to keep the site poison ivy free.
We will be making use of three fields: One for parking near the front of the house; one for fire pits and Castle Battles; and one for Field Battles and brazier fires. There is also a viewing booth on the list so cameras can be close to the action when fighting and later it can be used for any ceremonies you all may have in mind. The site is somewhat “L” shaped, but otherwise very much like some of the other farm sites we use.
Scenarios will be in the typical Galatian fashion; Lots of resurrection battles and lots of scenarios that will require you to communicate with those around you. Fast paced action until everyone is begging uncle. Also likely is another Pennsic War Practice, Markland Army versus Atlantia scheduled for Sunday.
Site map and scenarios to come soon. Please put this event on your calendar.
