The Special Council Meeting will take place on March 1st, as announced at the Winter Althyng, and as posted shortly thereafter on the web page.

The purpose of this meeting (the “agenda”) is to:

1. Examine the frat rules as they were published in the Fall of 2003, January 2005, and March 2005.
2. Decide if we like them better the way they are now or the way they were before.
3. To discuss the best course of action.

The Knights Hospitaller living history camp will be appearing at its second Military Through the Ages in Jamestown, VA on March 15th and 16th.  Last year the Hospitallers won second place in the costume category.  The camp includes members of Maryland Medieval Mercenary Militia and will include members of Scarlet Cross this year.

Oh no! I missed the Winter Althyng!

Never fear we are here to please. The minutes from the Jan. 26, 2008 meeting are posted for your enjoyment. You can find them by clicking on Markland corporate on the left menu bar and selecting the Winter Althyng 2008 or by clicking here

Well it was not on purpose, but here we are 2008 and the new website is finally here and I hope that this will be one of the many steps that will be taken this year to improve Markland's communication. As you might see there will be new things or new ways to do things with the website such as The Photo Gallery, Posting Events, Groups Pages, Markland Email, & Markland News Feed.

Again, a big thank you to Serban (Berserker) of Galatia for creating the website!

All these things will be explained in the next few weeks and ways to use or get involved will be listed on the Message Boards. So far I have up how to post an event and more will come soon.
