Please Read about RivenWar and Summer Althyng :

RivenWar WILL be going on this weekend, regardless of potential weather that might occur.

There has been a LOT of concern about the Althyng being on Sunday. As such, we have decided to MOVE THE ALTHYNG TO SATURDAY @ 5PM. We anticipate many folks may opt to not camp, and expressed concerns about their ability to attend the meeting.

Rivenwood will be investing in some additional rain shade for this and will move all other activities around the Althyng, so that this vital piece of Markland business can happen, including Elections.

Needless to say, if you plan to attend the Althyng only, you will not be charged entry fees.

Please spread the word, and post to your respective group pages, so that the word gets out as quickly as possible and thoroughly as possible.

We thank you all for your respective cooperation and patience.

RivenWar will be held at the Blackbird State Park - Cypress Tract in Townsend DE

The Denizens of Rivenwood are happy to once again announce the return of RivenWar. Our 3rd installment, RivenWar III - Revenge of the Pork will also host the Summer Althyng meeting on Sunday May 20th.

Site Fee:
$10.00 - Unpaid Markland Members
$7.00 - Paid Markland Members.
Waived for first-time attendees and children under five years old

Feast Fee:
$8.00 For all adults
$5.00 for children 10 years old and under

Saturday Night Feast: Roast pig, Rice, Beef Stew, Assorted Breads, Honey Butter, Dessert, Lemonade

Schedule for RivenWar 3:

Friday:
Site opens at 3:00 pm
Lawn Games and Games Table: 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Saturday:
A&S Classes: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Bazaar: 10:00 am to 6:30 pm
Frat Fighting: 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm (Starting with the Queen's Champion Tournament, various battles, and an Archery scenario)
Children's Water Battle: 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Viking Football: 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Archery Tournament: 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Feast: 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

Adults Only:
Women's Game Tournament: 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Court & Royal Bardic Competition: 9:30 pm to 10:30 pm

Sunday:
Summer Althyng: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

We are also pleased to announce that we will hosting Boy Scout Troop 130 out of Kennedyville, MD for the weekend.
